Music Selections
Star Gazer

Even as a child I watched the heavens
and the light from those distant fires,
washing over me with ancient memories,
were familiar echoes of what once was

I used to wonder how many others
had dreamed of what might yet be
when that light was passing by
in its glorious, maiden brilliance

As time passed, it became clear to me
that I'd been there once before,
high above and watching
a woman upon the shore

She was looking out to the sea
with a look of forever in her manner
It was a sunset time of day
and she was patiently waiting

I tried to reach out to her,
but it was not to be in that time or place
Waiting still am I,
as she beckons me to our destiny

Then by chance
a miracle transpired
An ancient fire
gave birth to the sleeper within me

So close are we now
to that which was denied before
And I could no more abstain from you
than life itself

How could I give up the reality of you
after all this time of waiting
The dream of you is not what created you,
you are the meaning of the vision I've always had

Come share the magic
of finding each other,
after so long ago
and so very far away

Let our passions be our guide
to that which we know to be
the very best
of you and me
